I was fortunate to grow up just outside Santa Fe, NM, a region rich with artistic heritage and creative energy. From a young age, I was immersed in an environment that encouraged artistic expression.  My mother, a creative force in her own right, dabbled in numerous forms of arts and crafts—from quilting and weaving to painting—and had a deep fascination with religious iconography.  My father, although not an artist, was handy with his hands and equally supportive of our expressed interests. These early influences shaped my own appreciation for art, as my family would often visit museums and galleries, making art a central part of my life.

Though I originally pursued an education in psychology, my career took an unexpected turn when I fell into the gallery scene in New Orleans. What started as a humble beginning—cleaning galleries, rehanging exhibitions, to framing.  I moved from hands-on work in the framing studio to curating exhibitions and eventually to fine art consultation and gallery management. My experience running galleries in Beverly Hills and Las Vegas gave me a front-row seat to the evolution of the contemporary art market and allowed me to build meaningful relationships with artists and collectors alike.

In 2020, amidst the global pandemic, I felt a renewed calling to open a gallery that reflected both my personal journey and the values I hold dear. That’s when I moved to Palm Springs to establish Cicada Fine Art. The cicada, a symbol of rebirth and transformation, perfectly encapsulates the spirit of this venture. At Cicada Fine Art, we focus on curating collections that represent a balance between blue-chip masters, established international talents, and promising rising stars. My goal is to create a dynamic and evolving space where collectors can engage with art that not only speaks to the present moment but also serves as a legacy for future generations.
